Vegetation Quality Assessments – Telopea Downs – September 2025
In addition to past Flora surveys in spring 2025, Carbon Landscapes independently established ten permanent vegetation monitoring sites across the Telopea Downs conservation property for continued monitoring. The purpose of this baseline assessment was to document current vegetation condition and create a benchmark for future comparisons. The initial results support that the Telopea Downs property remains largely biodiversity intact and contains diverse vegetation communities with high botanical integrity. It I s a critical site we are managing.
Other works that have continued:
The access road has been upgraded into the environment centre. Access is critical to management works as you cannot manage what you cannot access.
Our partnership with Zoos Victoria has been extended once again as they continue their ongoing monitoring works of critical species.
Rehabilitation works around our water storage area has been continuing (just sent another picture) and we are watching the growth recover after significant spring rains.
